Greet children and families upon arrival & departure.
Observe each child of signs of illness and/or signs of physical injury upon arrival & departure.
Effectively plan and prepare for each school day. Lessons should be prepared and supply requests turned in to the Director/Assistant Director according to the schedule. Supply requests are subject to review and approval.
Maintain a child and family-friendly classroom.
Maintain class discipline consistent with the state rules and regulations.
Be responsible as part of the regular duties for maintaining the supplies and cleanliness of the entire center.
Communicate effectively with the families. Family communication will be approved by the Director/Assistant Director/Owner before distribution.
Attend all meetings and training sessions as requested by the Director/Assistant Director.
Complete All Accident/Incident Reports and obtain Director’s signature on each report or the person in charge approval’s signature.
Follow all policies regarding The State of Kentucky Cabinet For Health and Services Standards.
In addition, staff members are responsible for following the direct instructions of the Director(s) or the Lead person in charge without fail.
Employees must have 18 hours of official continuing training for each year that they are employed.
At least 18 years of age
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent (Must present proof)
Meet the requirements of the city and State of Kentucky regulations regarding Criminal Records checks.
Provide a physician’s statement that one is physically able and obtains a balanced immune system to work with children
Must have no current pending litigation pertaining to child abuse, exploitation or neglect.
Maintain regular attendance and prompt attendance
Maintain a neat, clean, and respectful appearance
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to relate well with children and their families
Must be able to function as part of a team and follow the instructions of the Director or lead person
Must be able to use acceptable grammar to communicate with the children, staff, and parents
Must demonstrate social skills such as courtesy, respect, and appreciation for diverse, ethnicity, cultures, ideas, and viewpoints.
